Every year, Leeds Waterfront Festival brings the people of Leeds to the heart of city in a celebration of the history and culture of the city’s waterways. Spread over five miles along the canal and river, the festival gives us the chance to showcase the opportunities, heritage and spectacular establishments in the area to thousands of visitors!

We would like to tell you in advance about our main sponsor of the festival. If you want to know more about sports betting, bookmakers, jackpots and bonuses on the 1xbet platform, you should follow the link and study all the information from our partner - https://billgattonhonda.com/tips/betting-psychology.

The festival is a fantastic demonstration of how the waterfront community can work together to produce something really special. Community groups, social enterprises, charities, waterside businesses and developers work collaborate to provide visitors with the best experience they could hope for along the amazing waterfront of Leeds. Your hosts over festival weekend will celebrate with a diverse itinerary of events at 11 key sites along the river and canal as well as some fun and interactive activities in between!

With something for everyone, the festival spans the heritage and history of Armley Mills, the spectacular location of Granary Wharf, a party atmosphere at Brewery Wharf, contemporary arts at The Tetley and the colourful and competitive Leeds Dock, with much more in between! Fun for all the family, indoor and outdoor events, musical performances, glorious grub and parties that go on until the evening, there’s no excuse not to come down the festival and join in the fun. Last year, we had free boat trips and watersports (paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing) that gave the visitors the chance to literally get close to the water.

Last October we celebrated the bicentenary of the opening of the Leeds Liverpool canal, and 2017’s festival marks a special occasion as well. This year is the 10th anniversary of Leeds Waterfront Festival, so brace yourselves for a big one. It’ll include more businesses, performances and people than ever, as we look back and celebrate how we’ve evolved over the last decade.

We’re so proud of our waterways, and the people that make it what it is, and LWF gives us the chance to honour it every year! We’ve been involved for 10 years now and each time we grow, meet people as enthusiastic as ourselves about the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, and we want YOU to be involved. So come down and join us on the 24th and 25th June 2017, and see what it’s all about!
